As the old saying goes, "Actions speak louder than words". He could have stuck to the principles he claims to have, rejected the £1.6m offered to him and said all of that in this country. It's not like he doesn't have the platform as he's never off TV.

What we witnessed yesterday was the biggest example of virtue signalling we have ever seen. The fact that he made that speech whilst being paid all that money from a venue where 1000s of workers lost their lives was quite frankly sickening.

Apologies for the pedantry but you said 'he's given a party political broadcast on workers rights' - which means he clearly cares and he is bothered enough to talk about it on tv when he didn't have to - and then you said 'He doesn't care about workers rights'. It's pretty clear that he can't 'care' and 'not care' at the same time. You then wrote 'They waved £1.6m in front of his nose and he couldn't get on the plane quick enough' which is something that you appear to have made up (I can't find the source anywhere yet). The bit where you say 'If he has you fooled then that's your problem' - I'm not sure what he has me fooled about - happy to discuss this further, I just don't have the context yet. And the last bit about principles and your mate - it's overly simplistic to boil the complexity of the issue down to your mate have principles but Neville hasn't. For example, I have read dozens of articles where neville has very clearly laid out what some of the issues are in Qatar regarding laws and workers rights. I haven't read or heard a word from your mate. It doesn't mean your mate is less or more valid. The same applies to Neville - just because he is paid for his services, doesn't make his opinions more or less valid.

Was it? Any proof that it was the biggest example? or is just a personal and emotional outburst leaving everything that follows just an opinion. You said 'he's never off TV' which isn't true either. Statistically, he's actually very rarely on tv.

Fair enough, its just not how I see it. Ive been criticle of Neville working for BEin Sports (paid for by Qatar), but i don't see that this removes his right to express his opinion on a different matter.

Ultimately if he was really bothered about workers rights he would have refused the £1.6m to help promote the tournament. Simple as that. What I will say is that if he decided to donate the money he's earned from his time in Qatar to the families the workers killed building the stadiums and studeos he's spent the last month in then at least that would be some sort of positive gesture.

He's highlighting the hypocrisy of us in this country when we have nurses using food banks. Critising others for having poor workers rights when our own government is diluting our own rights is hypocrisy.

Whilst being paid £1.6m to sit in a studio which 1000s of workers were killed building. They were treated far worse than any nurse over here yet he was still more than happy to take Qatars money.

He does actually have a valid point but he is 100% the wrong person to be making it.
