Harry Kane

Any striker should be hitting the target. Any top sports person deals with that pressure and has mentality to deal with it and thrive from it.

Who to have taken? Probably Mount. It’s all down to mentality at that point. There’s added pressure on Kane having taken one.
I’m not sure I buy this. If Kane’s got the mentality to be England’s number 1 penalty taker, you must give him the second one.

I do actually think going the same way meant he tried to put too much juice into it to make sure and that was the issue. (Rather than Lloris his teammate).

But I still think it’s the right decision to have him take number two

Top players miss penalties. It does happen.
Not just this planet. They'll have ducked for that second penalty on the moon mate. ;)
:(
 :(
Eh did you read my post? Of course he takes the second, silly debate really, the only thing is he missed the target, that’s his only fault.
I was agreeing with you and adding to your point

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Personally, in that situation, I think it’s helping the keeper by keeping the same kicker.

I’d guess it wasn’t something discussed so everyone went with the flow.

I never said I’d take it off him. If he wants it, he has it. In the cold light of day, I think it’s better to change kickers for the second pen.

Gary Lineker scored two in Italia 90, Jan Molby once scored a hat trick of penalties.
From experience I reckon he changed his mind, I did the same thing in a penalty shoot out.

Id say at least you give yourself a chance. Important thing at that stage was making sure you hit the target. I wouldn't have gone for height certainly to limit the margin for error

Best penalties are low and hard even if you get it a yard inside the post the keeper will struggle to get down quick enough.

But im not sure why? He missed obviously, but it was the right call having him take it.

Anybody else taking is, by definition, not as good a taker both mentally and technically

There have been instances where the second taker misses. People miss penalties for different reasons

If I was guessing, very much in an armchair fan way, I think he wanted to go same place again but felt he had to give it more juice to make sure. That meant he popped it over
Looks like the the Miami Dolphins are going to stick a cheeky bid in for Kane next season .
This is such good banter
