I don't know what the posters point is?Is it just another Liverpool bashing thread? What a stupid thread
England club fans shouldn't have been banned, Liverpool should have.So because liverpool fans say they are not part of england, england fans shouldnt have been banned from europe. Is that really whats being said here?
We went in a Bedford CF van and were no bother. Only went to Milan though cos the ferry to Cagliari was a fortune. And the beginning of this documentary states how bad English fans are and should not be going to Italia:90 because of the heysel events. English football fans were banned from European football because of this. All the England group games were in one area to keep them all together. So what point have you got about heysel in 1985?
Thank you, this is why I am asking as I only hear about heysel. That is the only thing documented regarding English fans banned. It doesn’t really talk about other clubs.
If you've watched the documentaries, you'll have seen that it was a widespread problem in the english game. Hetsel was trouble too far.Watched a couple of documentaries recently regarding Italia:90 and how bad English football fans are, yet it keeps going back to heysel and banned from European football. Wasn’t that all Liverpool? Aren’t Liverpool scouse not English
But instead of banning falling to pieces grounds with clueless authorities hosting finals they punished every England club fan.If you've watched the documentaries, you'll have seen that it was a widespread problem in the english game. Hetsel was trouble too far.
Or thisWatch one night in turin & then you’ll see a Tory government hell bent on making political gain out of persecuting the england fans…
The episode with the Italian fans rounding up our fans at random but finding the exact right number to fill the plane back to gatwick is a prime example.

It was a culmination of bad English behaviour at a number of gamesEngland club fans shouldn't have been banned, Liverpool should have.
Heard many stories of the Chelsea fans...It was a culmination of bad English behaviour at a number of games
And yet us or Norwich could have been in a European Cup final the year after and tottally destroyed the narrativeIt was a culmination of bad English behaviour at a number of games
England fans and English club fans pretty much ransacked anywhere they played in Europe in the 80's. I think herself was the final straw
This takes whataboutery to a whole new level. Are you a mag?And yet us or Norwich could have been in a European Cup final the year after and tottally destroyed the narrative![]()
You've fallen for the bs. Are we expected to believe every other European nation didn't have radged young lads? Think about it.England fans and English club fans pretty much ransacked anywhere they played in Europe in the 80's. I think herself was the final straw

In 85 both teams, more so us, had radged young lads but not to any great scale to cause any mass disorder and to be absutotely fair a hell of a lot has to be asked about the infrastructure of this ground, which just happens to be in the EU Capital.Yet you seem to think sunderland or Norwich didn't have any radged young lads.
Yes the ground and authorities and uefa were absolutely minging in 1985. The ground wasn't fit for purpose. But England fans and England club fans were absolutely radged in the 80's. Especially when they went abroad. In 85 both teams, more so us, had radged young lads but not to any great scale to cause any mass disorder and to be absutotely fair a hell of a lot has to be asked about the infrastructure of this ground, which just happens to be in the EU Capital.
Of course but relatively small numbers, like 100s not tens of thousands, easily manageable for any functioning country, England fans, no angels,, but let's not ignore aggitation and borderline third world Policing. IMO this was the case until the early 90s.Yes the ground and authorities and uefa were absolutely minging in 1985. The ground wasn't fit for purpose. You obviously have an anti foreigner agenda here(3rd world policing in other countries, whilst police were belting shit out of miners in this country). Your opinion is definitely clouded by this. Riots in Turin, Luxembourg etc. says to me its not easily manageable. You do know club fans were running riot in this country at the time as well, don't you? Borderline 3rd world policing to blame?Of course but relatively small numbers, like 100s not tens of thousands, easily manageable for any functioning country, England fans, no angels,, but let's not ignore aggitation and borderline third world Policing.
