We’ll sing what we want

I can fully understand there will still be fans who arent aware what’s being sang but the vast majority do know and the authorities will definitely know. It’s been all over social media for a couple of months and the FA’s online task force, who are pretty hot on these sort of things, will have known about it almost immediately. Strange they felt fit not to act.

Do you just abuse anyone who doesn’t have the same opinion as you? An obvious sign of lack of intellect.

Imagine being so naive to actually think a player doesn’t know the words to his own song!
You didn’t reply the other day. Why do you think they are singing about a black lads cock?

There's definitely an argument for it being racist mind. Quite simply, if he was a white lad it wouldn't be sung. We all know that some people are singing about his cock because he's black, and there's a stereotype that black people have big dicks. A few years ago it was sung that nyron had a massive cock that he swung around his head. It wasn't sung about Jonny Evans.

I remember reading something about this when man united fans were asked to stop singing about Lukaku's cock. If I remember right, a main part of the argument is that if people are accepting of a "positive" stereotype about a group of people (black lads have huge cocks, they're athletic etc) then they likely also believe the negative stereotypes (they're less intelligent, they're violent etc). It's not something a player will necessarily be comfortable with hearing

It's pretty likely that a player would rather people sung about a quality he has as an individual, rather than just had a laugh about a racial stereotype regardless of whether we think that it's harmless, or meant to be supportive/ positive. Certainly now that the lad has publicly asked for it not to be sung, it shouldn't be. As others have said there are plenty of alternative lyrics that fit perfectly well. I'd also add that any song which could be perceived as racist should probably be avoided when it's primarily coming from the same place as (a minority of) people who boo taking the knee, it's not a good look
Appreciate a reasoned and sensible response, most of which I agree with, some of which not so much so, but I respect what you’re saying. Tony Blair’s mate should take note.

I think a foreign player is capable of using the internet and social media to find out the words to a song being sung about him!!

Sessegnon was 10 years ago man, social media has moved on a tad in the last decade. Like I’ve been saying, it’s been all over social media for 2 months because of it‘s lyrics. Can you remember the Sessegnon song being all over social media? No thought not.

Like I said at the start…
Song - good
Lyrics cringeworthy - yes
Lyrics racist - no

How many times are you going to say exactly the same thing? You don’t think it’s racist and you have persuaded precisely no one. Do you think if you say it another 12 times you might get someone to change their mind? Obviously you don’t have to but it would be great if you fucked off.

If people disagree directly I’m going to respond mate, it’s how debate works. Telling someone to fuck off because they have a different opinion from yourself, nice one.

If they sang about a Dutch player and it had lyrics which mentioned the racial stereotype of them being the tallest race in the world would that be acceptable?
I can guarantee that some singing the song will be racist pricks though, and for that reason they should stop.
The song would not be sung if he was white, therefore it is based on racial stereotypes and is racist.
That honestly doesn't necessarily follow.

Why isn't it sung about white people then

Why are they saying he has the "biggest dick in the Championship"? Do they know he has a big penis or is it assumed because he is black he must have a big penis?
