It was quite widespread when he scored. It spoils the goal celebration because the majority won't want to join in. When we were at Boro away it was "running down the wing, hear the Sunderland sing". That would get far more joining in and obviously make it much louder.

Imagine having to ask your supporters to stop singing a racist song about you. Only for them to not only sing it still, but to then then chant they'll sing what they want (basically a fook you).

The player himself has asked them to stop singing a racist song about him, so they completely disregard his request and do it anyway .

Said it before, i wouldn't sit amongst the south stand lot for free. I'll accept its the idiots at the back who think their mint, but it's every single home match an incident occurs.
