There are probably only 3 clubs (ManU, Liverpool, Arsenal) who have ever been able to afford to turn down interest from Russian gangster-oligarchs or Middle East petro-states - and the fans of those clubs know that. Those same 3 clubs, along with Spurs, started this whole money-marketing- control unholy trinity back in the late '80s.
 
Be brilliant when the mags wise up and realise they are just a doon payment on the blood people getting one or all of the tops clubs.

The fact it is being held where it is and the sheer greed/corruption that led FIFA to award to Qatar is sickening.

I realise my small “protest” won’t make a blind bit of difference, but FIFA can fuck right off as well.

They need broken up and replaced with and independent body that are actually interested in protecting and improving the game, rather than lining their own pockets.

How about not wanting your club to be a pawn for a murderous dictator laundering its image?

Football shouldn't be contrived. It's very much becoming that way in England with us welcoming any kind of hideous regime as long as its loaded.

Of course it would be fun if your club is one of those being used, winning trophies and all that shite, but its not what I'd personally like. Particularly if you have to ditch every single principle about basic decency you have in the process.
