Boycott Qatar

I haven't watched a single minute. No interest in it at all because of where it is being held and the cowardice of the England players.
Not missing it in the slightest.
This is exciting - Portugal winning 3 - 2

CR7 now off the field

Ghana just scored and 9 minutes of addeed time

TENSION!

Some people without any interest in the World Cup don’t half like to talk about it
Most responding to people saunh they're really watching it in secret. Or rasing concern at threads like the can we just talk football one. Ignoring thousands who died to build a couple of stadiums in the desert. They aren't talking football they're continuing the discussion on human rights which can oy be applauded

I’ve enjoyed it so far -loads of football on the telly, run up to Christmas it’s great.

Let’s hope some change happens as a result and also that England win it.

Call me whatever you want, but I have personal pride in not watching anything, specifically England. My morals may go 'out the window' if we were to reach the final, if that was the case I'd make sure that I was watching it in a way that can give absolutely 0 positives to the hosts. I'm sure some will still call me a hypocrite, ideally I will avoid it all. In truth, the hardest part for me is the loss of community that I am experiencing in avoiding the games.

Agreed. The other lads are getting the beers in around a different house each time. I miss that. I still feel turning my back on it is the right thing to do no matter how many may mock and scorn. I'm used to being in the minority. I am aware my actions will have no effect on Qatar but I feel better for having a conscience.

Me not watching is a pointless gesture.

I am a football fan and this is the World Cup.

I am watching it.

Should it have gone to Qatar - no.

Let’s hope some cultural change emerges from the experience of hosting this event.

In the meantime - Come on England !

I would like Sunderland to go back to adidas and have the Argentina kit in red obviously. Away kit either Japan or Mexico.

While it is entirely your own decision whether you watch it or not, and quite rightly so, it isn't a pointless gesture to not watch it if that is your choice. Nobody has to jusitfy their decisions to anybody else whatever they have decided to do with this World Cup or regarding anything else in life. However, in my opinion it isn't pointless not to watch for two reasons:

a) if everybody had declared the same intention (including the players) then the venue would have been moved ages ago.

b) most of us have some sort of moral compass (several Tory MPs aside) and I'd argue it is good for our wellbeing to make at least some decisions in life based on ethics and our own conscience, regardless of what our mates down the road might be doing, saying or thinking.

Problem with have Adidas kits is that you know any other club who has them and has stripes basically just has the exact same kit as us.

See Stoke City of recent years.

For me it would be if all the countries had declared they would not participate that may have influenced the decision to award the finals to Qatar.

I have decided to compartmentalise my general distain for the culture of many states in that region and my love of football.

Its on and I enjoy watching it. Would I attend? Absolutely not under any circumstances.
