Sunderland will face Saudi Arabian opposition Al Shabab in Friendly (poll in Parsnip)

Whoever made the decision for us to is an absolute moron.

Have the club commented yet? Did RAWA etc actually take supporter’s concerns to
the club??

Friendly match or not we should keep ourselves well clear.

Seems strange, don't think we can paint ourselves in glory, given our treatment of asylam seekers.

The emails some of us have sent to the club have been forwarded apparently.

Interesting.... are we torturing and murdering them or using corporal punishment as we severely repress their rights due to their gender and sexual preferences? If so then I will stop criticising the Saudis as you’re right we wouldn’t have a leg to stand on.

Also when did Sunderland afc start sponsoring any immigration/asylum schemes undertaken by the home office? If so I’m also rightfully appalled!!!

Conditions of immigrant facilities have been criticised and one resident has died. Even one is too many.

I think you’ve missed my point, the point of this forum and the point of this thread.

This is regarding SAFC and the choice of the club to get involved with a regime arguable the worst on the planet for human rights abuses. SAFC have no say regarding UK immigration facilities, they do however have a direct say in who they play friendlies against. That’s the point of anger here

Aye. I think he is trying to say its OK for the Saudis ,a country with apalling and disgusting human rights, and who are commiting war crimes in yemen ,to own Newcastle. Because Britain has bad immigration facilities.I think that's what he is saying

Well mine was "forwarded".

The club could quite easily rectify the situation and take the right course of action in cancelling the game.

Surprised they have commented or just done the right thing.

Given the spotlight on this WC & Sportswashing in the game (appreciate that may not be the case here) along with the Saudi’s awful human rights record things could and should have been rectified quickly.
