ROKER PARK

Central Defender
This is a very difficult decision but my choice reverts to my youth. Dennis Tueart my not be a name that springs to mind but he was a player that exited fans. He had the ability to attack defenders rather than play the ball back was two footed and an eye for goal. A member of the 1973 Cup Final team and
not to mention his overhead kick which he scored for Man City against the Mags in the 1976 League Cup Final.
There are many more players who I could have acclaimed and I know you will have many which live in your memory as does Tueart for me.

Billy Hughes all day every day including Sunday's.
100% this. ⬆️

The most skillful player, I ever had the privilege to see, playing for The Lads.

He had the lot - swagger, sublime skill, pace, vision & trickery.
He could set up & score goals, either with his head, or either foot, and he was a genuine, cool as fuck, Roker terrace hero. 👍
