Xbox GamePass

I have it on PC but barely use it these days

I dont pay the full subscription though. I just buy the cheap turkish keys from CDKEYS when they are on offer and activate them using a VPN.

must admit I have been using it more and more since working from home especially on nightshift currently playing through far cry 5 ( late to the party i know ) and thoroughly enjoying it without playing any of the previous ones

I have it on my Windows 11 PC. Downloads take an eternity. It has taken days in some cases. And when they do the games are slow and take ages to load. Star Wars: Squadron, Forza 5 and HALO are three which I wasn't able to play either because it is too slow or there was a connection problem There is hardly any room on the PC program to have many games. Only good thing is you get membership of the EA Play thrown in. I downloaded the EA Play and started membership and a prompt told me I already have membership of EA Play and to cancel it because I can download games on the EA Pass through my XBox GamePass.

The only good game I have been able to play is Age of Empires. It is the PROPER one. The one I remember from my first PC back in the late 90's.

XBox GamePass and EA Pass does not compete with Apple Arcade for me. You can get games almost immediately and the amazing thing is - they work!

If I were to rate XBox GamePass I would give it 1/10.

Sounds more like you have a terrible PC and internet connection to me…

Takes seconds to download and play on the Xbox - you on dial up by chance?

No. Virgin Media Broadband.

Like I say I’m not on the actual Xbox. It’s on my PC.

I’ve been on Avast One and cleaned up some space on my PC. It’s cleared 16 bites of space.

I also have done a speed test and I have a download speed of 138.9. Dunno if any of that means anything.

Taking a look at the specs on your pc I’m thinking that there’s no way it’ll handle games like Forza or Halo. It’s a pretty computer, but has no dedicated graphics card and only 4gb ram. Not sure why the downloads are taking ages, but that’ll be why the games won’t run properly when you’ve finally downloaded them.

Well that's not good enough to play the games locally so are you on about streaming them using xbox cloud beta?

What’s that?

Age of Empires runs pretty good.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order seemed ok to download. Ironic given your avatar.

If you have ultimate game pass you can get the xbox cloud beta, basically you can stream certain xbox games so you don't need high spec devices or storage space, just a good internet connection. In theory you could play xbox games on your laptop through your web browser, or mobile phone, games that you wouldn't necessarily have enough power to run otherwise. Does it work? Well mixed bag, I tried on my phone and results were mixed. That spec you posted is definitely not enough to run Forza, especially the new ones
