As football fans we can criticise players, the team, the management, the club, pretty much everything we want, countless threads on here doing the same… but not the flag group?

Thing is constructive criticism is one thing, categorising things as ‘crap’ is just disingenuous towards a group of people who are trying to create a better fan engagement, a greater feel of community and take back some ownership of our club.

No mate. You couldn’t be more wrong and it’s nothing to do with Celtic or Rangers. From our exchanges on here, there’s not actually very much you seem right about tbhwy.
It’s because we were out displayed by mighty Wycombe at Wembley. The Quinn one was a catastrophe, the ship one was momentarily OK but largely unclear and there’s a lot of fans’ hard earned money that without any oversight or accountability goes into this.
I love the flags. Liked the big crowd surfer and absolutely see the potential for the displays. Hopefully yesterday was a sign of the improvement that was needed.
I really don’t want to provide detailed criticism, going on like a prick, but please stop responding so hysterically to criticism and sending weird borderline aggressive PMs to me and I won’t feel it necessary to reply. I think you deleted the last PM’s so not sure if you were pissed or not?

I know the flag gang in their PMs to me like to be quite tasteful in the invective they use, me using words like crap in response is possibly taking it too far.

What would you do to improve the displays?

1. Less frequent, more impactful, meaning better planned.
2. Better use of resources and fans’ money. Displays that can be used more than once and put on display. Less A4 paper and waste.
3. Better creative input. Work with local arts collectives etc…
4. Really worried in the early days about their attitude to fire safety regs etc so probably some more competencies supporting them.
Imagine the ability and resource that will be within the current fan base to do this kind of thing well. This lot seem a really protective group and unable to take criticism which doesn’t bode well.
Some of the stuff I’ve had from them by PM is awful. Mods seem cool with it though so not sure what’s happening!

I wondered how feasible it would be to have someone to run up each accessway with a bin bag.
Or if each piece of paper had the seat location on, and if that piece of paper ends up on the pitch, the seat owner is put on compulsory litter picking after the next home game
Seriously though, I like the displays and would hate them to get banned because of the mindless idiots throwing it about, so I hope a solution can be found
