Poppy Display - Volunteer info

Morning all,

If anyone would like to come and help out creating the poppy in the Roker End tomorrow, we’re headed in at 9am.

You don’t have to stay until it’s done, just for as long as you can.

Bump on this. We’ve got less than half the number of volunteers than we had a few weeks ago. If anyone is able to lend a hand for an hour tomorrow morning, it’s much appreciated.

I cant be there, but hopefully people get there, I know its a fans funded effort, but its a pity the club couldnt offer something to the volunteers, free pie and pint at the match? Just a suggestion, dont know if its feasible or if it would help

It’s a good idea, but we’re reluctant to use it. The club offered signed prints to everyone who helped clear up after Coventry and most haven’t received them. It’s no surprise there’s a lack of interest really.

I really wish I could help you guys out. You do a fantastic job in the Roker end. Living in Mansfield doesn’t help. I don’t reach the stadium till 1-1.30 if I did get there earlier would have nothing to do till kick off. Keep up the good work and continue what you’re doing. HWTF

we've had members of the group in the stadium (and ferrying cards and materials about Sunderland) since 1pm this afternoon but as always it's great to get new faces involved in the set up.

if anyone wants to pop down for an hour at any point tomorrow, we'll have members of the group that will be able to get you access to the stadium from 9am.

Brilliant mate. We’ll be at the south stand access tunnel.

30 mins doesn’t seem like a lot but you’ll get a few rows boxed off in that time and that is a huge help.

Not sure on the car park, I normally park in sheepfolds. South stand access tunnel mate.
