T20 Ireland v England start time

Malan batting commentators making excuses for every ball he faced where he failed to time bat on ball, weather, pitch, bowling. Ali comes in and starts smacking the ball all around the ground 🤷‍♂️

That's not how it works. Mo smacked Delany around. If Malan had foolishly given his wicket away like Jos against their openers who were bowling well, there's no way of knowing how Mo would have done.

Malan saw off their better bowlers and put us in a position where we win the game without weather intervening

 Really, did he not look up to the sky or look at the required run rate that was displayed throughout his innings on the big scoreboard?

Do australia have Afghanistan to play last? It's working out very nicely indeed for them then. Very convenient this weather

He used nearly a third of our allocated deliveries to reach 35. If you're a batsman and gonna anchor an innings you should still have a strike rate of over 100 (probably 120) in this form of the game. IMHO of course.

There is 2 ways you can look at that mate, if Malan scored quickly a little bit quicker and took a few more risks which in a batting side that bats as deep as England you have more luxury to do.

We could have been ahead of the rate and would have won the game when it finished.

The strength of Englands side is the likes of Curran and Woakes at 8 and 9, us batting extremely deep, meaning you don’t have to play as safe as Malan did

I agree especially with the batting we have

He probably knows its not on him to dictate the tempo of the game and he lilely realised at 12-2 that every wicket that falls would make the DL total higher

Do you mean in general or today? If today then that applies to everyone other than Mo. They're bowling was very good early on.

If in general then I'm out of this conversation
They bowling was very good earlier on no doubt about it, but the whole point of picking extra batsman and filling the side with batsman and all rounders allows the side to be more attacking and more risk taking.

I would have understood Milan’s approach more if we had long tail or picked extra bowlers, but our number 6 to 9 stronger than every other team in the competition by a long way imo

Hopefully you mean today seen as though Malan in general times the ball probably better than anyone else in our team. It’s literally his entire game.
Well considering I was talking about the game against Ireland, take a wild guess

We were playing Ireland, his timing was way out
