Any Sunderland strongholds left ?

You may ask Mr Falcon, however as your profile on here is withhheld I have no indication of who you may or may not be,hence I can not divulge the initials of those worthy gentlemen.
You may however submit the imitials of those who you think you may recognise.

A fair point, trying to put a face to someone from 50 years or so is difficult. I can assure you my intentions are genuine if i didn’t know these lads personally I’d know mates of theirs.

I struggle to remember faces now let alone 50 years or so ago. I do remember you

Hebburn has falle

Family of mags down Roker beach yesterday in full replica kit

It's strange to see like. We were in Mcdonalds in Ryhope the other week and a family of 4 came walking in, mam, dad and 2 bairns all wearing their Mag tops. They were playing at home later on that day so maybe they were going to the match but it always just feels a bit weird round here even though it is becoming more commonplace.

I expect it's just something we'll need to get used to in the coming years unfortunately.

It's always a shock to the system to me
Something I'll never get used to

Is Shiney Row mainly Sunderland fans ?
Sadly
It’s 50/50.

Hate to disappoint people but that’s not a keegan era thing. I grew up there in the 70s to mid 80s and there was a lot of mags then. Probably not a fair split but still quite a few. Never got my head around it and still don’t , however now just along the road in houghton/Hetton , the fuckers are all here now.

See the odd weirdo in mag gear in Wingate, but very few and far between and probably just as many man city tops.

The Wingate SAFC branch is one of the biggest in the country and its been great to see a load more young kids and families on the branch bus this year.
i used to travel on the wingate bus years ago. some great times and memories.

Got to be risky ordering food in Sunderland while wearing a mag top, surely?!

Vauxie's being a tinker-ask him again if he is on his avatar! ;) SAFC OK.
50k at Wembley and nigh on 40k Championship average suggests there's plenty of SAFC strongholds around. They'd increase again if we were a Premier League club showing a bit of ambition. FTM.

There's a few of them around here and I'd expect their numbers to grow over the coming years. Tbf as much as I can't stand them they shouldn't be at risk of being assaulted for wearing Mag attire, same goes for any of our lot wearing Sunderland gear up their way.

Sadly

Can vouch for that. The influx from Shiney I met at high-school in the 90s predating Keegan was at least 50/50 which was news to me having the lazy assumption the nearer you are to Sunderland/Newcastle the more/less concentrated relevant support would be.
Worked there for years and going of the shirts you'd see it was a just a given that it was 50/50 (and that was during the Ashley era mostly), I didn't bat an eyelid seeing their shirts around e.g.
