The Safety of Fans in the North Stand

Not really relevant what height an object comes from if it hits someone in the head. Thrown from the side or down below it could kill someone if it hit the wrong spot.

It’s sensible until you actually think of the logistics involved. Doesn’t seem like your capable of it.
You will therefore be relieved to hear the news that I am not employed by Sunderland Football club or Northumbria Police or even by any other agencies, bodies, suppliers that may be responsible for effecting this change or handling any implications arising out of it.

I’m just a fan. And that, I believe, is important.

Arsenal fans constantly throw stuff down to the away fans. I’ve been at least three time which can remember stuff like empty coke bottle came down.
Happens both ways but this is avoidable.
The club might act one day afore someone is wiped out.

instances seem to have risen significantly over the last few years.

i have my season ticket in there and it's come to the point now there's this increasingly nagging thought about the possibility of getting something chucked off my head.
no way would i take my granddaughter in there with me now.

Put them where the stadium was designed for them to be.

My cousins came up for the Preston game and we were talking about away fans they said and I quote "why do you give the away fans one of the best views in the stadium??"

Have you been up there? It’s freezing cold in winter ffs

This ‘put them where they were designed to be’ argument is finished, it’s how they are dealt now, and they certainly won’t be going back to the south stand.

It's shit in the concourse like, I'd sit anywhere before up there. Keep them where they are out the way with a net.

the south stand is by far a better position inside the ground to watch the match than the north upper

They don't need moving, it needs a net up. People have mentioned £15k-£16k to sort it and I'll bet we have at least one player on more than that a week. The club need to stop being ridiculous and sort it to protect our own fans.

There are nets all over Europe, they work.
NET SPEND ALERT!
