T20 World Cup - October 2022

The 3 runs from the ball hitting the stumps was a joke. To be fair though the way Kohli was going he’d of probably hit the next hall for 6 anyway if he was on strike.

Indian fans went apeshit when we won the World Cup via a quite obscure rule that is seldom seen. I wonder if they will be as outraged when they beat Pakistan via a similarly obscure rule
Rules are the rules when it suits. No problem with them getting the 3 runs off it’s by the laws but I assumed the hall was dead

Just going back to the India game. Why was the no ball not contested? Also still none the wiser on the free hit ruling.... Is the ball dead when the batsman is bowled? So confusing

Netherlands making hard work of this chase at the start. Two wickets down with the first two balls and two needless run outs.

Can't see them making this.

Stumps are essentially inactive. It happens fairly frequently albeit not so often on big international stage. Right decision.

Not sure why you'd attack the stumps on a free hit anyway and open a lot more shots

Games have seen very poorly attended, baring India - Pakistan

90k+ for the India v Pakistan game at a neutral venue.

The ECB should take note. Ditch the Hundred and have an India v Pakistan series during August. That will bring in some decent money.

That way we can have county cricket running along side it as well.

Win win.

Cricket where the result means everything thanks to decades of rivalry and shared history. It will never catch on.

The 16.4 isn't even in the same universe.
