The Safety of Fans in the North Stand

This alone tells you once and for all that this club ie The boy, Speakman. Davison don’t give a toss about it’s fans they’ve been told numerous times and fuck alls been done. I know there’s no money but £15,000 apparently to sort this out, Fuck the three of them and any other bastard who has anything to do with this.

Said it on the other thread. If its costs anything the club doesn't want to know it seems. Absolutely disgraceful. Just stick the netting up.

I've no idea what 'missiles' were thrown but netting won't stop coins and flares and stuff.. if it's bottles and what not then it will..can't cost that much ffs

The club needs to stop sending out pathetic statements like fans are ‘requested’ not to throw missiles!
This is a criminal offence and should lead to arrests, criminal convictions and a lengthy ban.
Get a grip and don’t request people not to commit criminal offences.
It’s the protocol they have to adhere to

Said it before and will say it again, someone will die in this country before long from pelting missiles from a great height. Probably some kid who did nothing to deserve it. And there’ll be a massive legal problem for the EFL, FA and the clubs involved. Only a matter of time.

I’ll continue to ring Steve Neill and continue to get platitudes and continue to keep it recorded for when something happens and whoever needs it can use it to take down the club.

Treating fans with utter contempt this.

Steady on. Folks will be along soon to tell you that the health (& safety) of the fans is less important than chucking away a 2 nil half time lead 🙄.

Apparently it was a e-cigarette that was chucked and it hit a child.

I’ve been highly critical of the club in the past, but they got it right today. Stopping the game and drawing attention to the incident was the right thing to do
I agree there, but unless we have something in place for the next time it’s completely pointless. Someone’s already been hurt.

The club are backing themselves into a corner here. Either the EFL are going to order them to shut the Premier Concourse to protect supporters and/or somebody is going to get seriously hurt from a missile and the club are sued again. What comes first?

Just spend the £15,000 on retractable netting and get it over and done with. Can't see it happening before the Cardiff game so it's imperative that they use the World Cup break wisely

Don’t disagree mate. I was sitting within 2 metres when the glass bottle was chucked by Coventry and it was pure luck there wasn’t a very serious incident. Action needs to be taken, but the club got it right today

Im hoping with the game being halted it’ll flag with the EFL who will do a bit of research and force the clubs hand, won’t be holding my breath though.

they have a duty to protect customers which they are not adhering to. If the club won't do anything then fans that sit there should take some professional advice. Stopping the game after something has happened is a complete waste of time and no contingency to the risk. Something proactive needs to be done.

Wouldn't vape thing be prevented by netting? I suppose if the net was fine enough.

Safety of our fans is more important than if away fans can see fuck all
