A group of points of light form a pattern and that pattern would distort as it moved across the dome.
Unless of course both the projector and viewer were at the exact same place, central to a spherical dome.

They don't, because they are not projections on any dome, but if they were, they would. You know this because you read and understood my post with the mirror ball.
Yes, it's the only way it would work. The alternative is that as said before, the projector would have to project a different image for every single viewer, each one altered so as to appear exactly the same for everyone.

FFS the mirror ball doesn't, but the pattern of reflections it creates on the wall has everything to do with it. They would follow the exact same rules. They show the shape of whatever they are reflected on.
Did I see everyone sees them at the same time? Or did I say they see the same shape?
