It'll have to be substantially less when he throws the transfer request in, fucks off and refuses to play. ASM will probably fake another injury and f#ck off with him.

Geography will always have the biggest part to play, no matter what kind of money them up the road offer, there's f#ck all up here for the multi millions that the footballing elite earn or for their wags/girlfriends to spend it on.

I did hear a clip of that Newcastle ceo who was on the previous night say st James was “the best ground in the country to watch football “……. Except it isn’t really. Not even top 10 given some of the fantastic stadiums around compared to their lopsided monstrosity.

They should have been using another station for years. Can't make that much fro the deal. With digital radio they can't even argue that its a coverage decision. Hopefully we go elsewhere and get a decent commentator too.

Not total sport, but on this morning’s radio Newcastle news bulletin they keep plugging “Newcastle fan” Savannah Marshals fight tomorrow. Isn’t she from Hartlepool, the same Hartlepool that isn’t in the radio Newcastle catchment area ?

Not the point. Being mentioned in a news story simply for being a mag fan is the point. Even if she is one that is. Total sport never mention pools, Darlo etc as there are covered by bbc tees region so why mention her fight tomorrow simply cos she’s a mag ?

Why should they though just because of her football allegiance? Couldn’t give a fk who she supports.
it is newsworthy you’re right, but not as a story on a station that doesn’t cover Hartlepool. Plenty of other local sports people just outside our area don’t get mentioned who are just as deserving.

You really need to stop putting the North East down. There's plenty for people with money to burn to do.

It also doesn't necessarily follow that all footballers live an extravagant hedonistic lifestyle. Some are quite content fishing, playing golf, getting involved with youth football, hobbies they grew up doing or any other number of things that don't require living on the doorstep of London's West End.

Where exactly am I putting the place down?

Most young folk with millions to spend want to live in the places that are instantly well known, footballers (especially decent ones) want to play for the biggest clubs in the best locations. That's not putting the North East down, it's just fact.

What I'm saying is nothing new and it's not a put down.
