You responded to a point about Dubai by mentioning the Southern Hemisphere.

There are two possibilities: one, you believe Dubai is in the Southern hemisphere. Two, you believe overwater flights between cities in the Southern Hemisphere don't exist.

Too bad I've already posted some that do (let alone the dozens every day between Australia and New Zealand, like Johannesburg to Sydney (3 times a week on Qantas - one is taxiing in from landing now) and Santiago to Auckland on LATAM.

How can it need explaining? Bend a stick, unbend it, same length right? If the distance between two points is measured over a curve, that's still the distance between the two places. You could straighten out the very long bit of string between two cities but it would still be the same length.

Weve really got no chance when their are people as stupid as you living right now basically crapping on some of the most brilliant minds we have ever known. Bend a stick and place the end on the ground in that bend. You know, like your supposed globe arc.
Now get the exact same-sized stick and place it at each end of the other stick and what will you find?
Yes, you'll find the level/straight stick has to be shortened to make it reach each end of the arced stick.

Make two marks on a ball and measure the distance between them with string. Take the string off the ball and straighten it out and what will you find?

The shortest distance to any point is a straight and level line. Your globe does not and cannot offer it but a level can.
So simple but the globe doesn't do simple. The globe does magical in terms of how people are coerced into believing they walk, sail, and fly over a convex curvature.
