Resealing upstairs shower.

Hi oh wise SMB....

My shower tray/surround is letting water through down into my kitchen. I'll need to reseal it and re-grout the tiles. The company who installed the shower keep coming back (3rd time) to reseal it and then it fails again. I think they like charging me a callout.

Anyway, I'm looking for advice on best products to redo the job myself. I've done some research and Kerakoll Fugalite Bio Epoxy Grout White 01 3kg is recommended for grout. Is it worth it/easy to use?

What is the best silicone sealant as the water is running down the tiles and past the silicone?

Thank you for any help. (Lion shit didn't work.)

Are you sure it’s going through the sealant? When I had this issue it was getting through the tiles

Mapei silicone is what the pros use and a fugi profiling tool for a professional finish.

If they keep resealing it and it's still coming through it's more likely the pipe's come loose underneath.
It's not the pipe... ive ripped off the plastic form previously and it's running straight down the tiles and then onto the boards below. I'm banking on it not being the pipe this time (going on a hunch.)
Get them back to fix their shit

And only pay them 3 months later if it hasn’t failed again
It's £80 callout each time.

Is the shower tray moving to cause the sealant yo break?
The tray is solid no wobble on it. When I reseal do I need to put weight into the shower to then silicone? My last house had a shower over the bath and when I put silicone round the edge I filled the bath and I never had any problems with that.

When you put the new silicon on i'd assume you'll be kneeling on the shower tray anyway..if there's no movement then you'll be ok..just make sure the surface is clean and dry before you put the new silicon on.

Same here. 3 times to reseal suggests it’s not the source of the issue. The tiles are quite often the problem - water getting through then running down the back and onto your kitchen ceiling. What’s the state of the grouting on the tiles like ?

That's why I'm going to regrout and silicone. In my original post I've seen that the grout I have linked in seem to be the best grout. But previously its been the silicone 3 times. Previously I've taken the plastic form off from round the tray and looked where the water comes down and it's been when I've aimed the shower at the join between the silicone, tray and tiles. I'll still regrout as then I can also rule out what you mentioned.
