Is it not obvious? You can look at a ship going over a convex curvature and every angled tilted down movement forward of that ship offers yourself an angle downward tilt backward with your standing vision of it. This means you would get to see none of what you actually do see in reality.
It should be borne in mind that the annoyingly smug flat earther demonstrating a spectacular lack of understanding of the globe model in that video is none other than yoga instructor Eric Dubay, the high priest of flat earthers. That is a really annoying video!

Don't tell me he's made a fortune off youtube? It should be borne in mind that the annoyingly smug flat earther demonstrating a spectacular lack of understanding of the globe model in that video is none other than yoga instructor Eric Dubay, the high priest of flat earthers.
Incredibly, pathological liar Dubay is the man that all the gullible mouth breathing flerfers look up to and the main proponent of the 8 feet per mile squared bollocks and the irrelevant 1000mph earth spin.
Then take into account the fact that our own Nukey is right at the very bottom of that particular barrel of fuckwittery and it explains his increasingly incoherent musings.
I've really no idea, but his videos do have suspiciously high looking production values.Didn't Newcastle Lad try and claim Tyson said the world was not a globe earlier in the thread.

Tyson said something once about the curve of earth being so vast that you wouldn't be able to see it until you reached a certain height. It's a video clip in which he's holding an inflatable globe.Didn't Newcastle Lad try and claim Tyson said the world was not a globe earlier in the thread.

But you said our flat maps and your lemon squeezer was quite representative of what you think.I'm sorry but I can't offer you any more than I just have.
It certainly wouldn't if the living land mass for the known Earth was 50,000 miles across but then again I didn't actually say it was.
Because of the impassable ice wall that we are sold and told is the coast of Antarctica but is actually just the start of the outer incline towards the dome foundation outer edge. This probably accounts for 20,000 of those miles which makes the actual global land mass that we walk upon rather small and centralized compact in comparison to the rest of the pizza which we walk and sail upon. But you said our flat maps and your lemon squeezer was quite representative of what you think.
So how can they be appx in those positions yet only be 8000 miles apart on your 50000 miles wide lemon squeezer
You should try this one, it's horrificThat is a really annoying video!
It is part of his claim about toppling over forward to see a ship going over the horizon.I dunno what his red and green lines are meant to be to him, and I'm not sure if he realises it, but they demonstrate how you would or wouldn't see the ship due to the horizon.
The black lines? Not a clue either
He's definitely at some fundamental level brain damagedIt is part of his claim about toppling over forward to see a ship going over the horizon.
Don’t try to reason with or think about this one. See the claim “there would be no horizon on a globe”. This first came up on a previous thread when talking about someone on a tower. He agreed that looking up you would see sky, looking down you would see the ground but the line between the two doesn’t exist. I talked him through it, looking down can see ground, slowly raise your head and apparently rather than see a line dividing the two, bang can only see sky. Move your head a fraction down and bang, can only see ground. It would not be possible to see sky and ground together.
I can’t discuss that subject with that level of insanity.

That proves nowt. Demagnification happens because of density and other stuff. Light packs in at certain points but it's also instant.I suggested hundreds of pages ago going down to the beach with a pair of binoculars and watching ships disappear over the horizon.
Something so easy to do. One of the north sea ferries going to Norway or Amsterdam that run regularly.
If he was interested at all in checking for facts and disproving the global narrative you start with standing at the beach and using binoculars.
It's that cultist behaviour though that means he won't even allow the slightest challenge to his belief. Why take the risk of finding something out?
Light is sound. Sound is friction. Friction is vibration. That proves nowt. Demagnification happens because of density and other stuff. Light packs in at certain points but it's also instant.
B.ut he doesn't distrust science or deny any of it. He also doesn't think he's the smartest man to have ever lived.........oh and right angles aren't always 90 degreesLight is sound. Sound is friction. Friction is vibration.
But then again if he believes he lives on a biscuit and the atmosphere removes the bottom of ships first, consistently no matter what the atmospheric conditions and at the same distance no matter what part of the world, because refraction just does that in this particular circumstances, then that will just be validating what he has mused all the long.I suggested hundreds of pages ago going down to the beach with a pair of binoculars and watching ships disappear over the horizon.

The flat earthers want to clarify that’s a British biscuit, because American biscuits aren’t flat, they are like scones, and that would be ridiculous. But then again if he believes he lives on a biscuit and the atmosphere removes the bottom of ships first, consistently no matter what the atmospheric conditions and at the same distance no matter what part of the world, because refraction just does that in this particular circumstances, then that will just be validating what he has mused all the long.
Of course, because then the Earth would have a curve, which would mean water could curve, and that is a problem for them. The flat earthers want to clarify that’s a British biscuit, because American biscuits aren’t flat, they are like scones, and that would be ridiculous.
