County Cricket 2022

Members getting short changed again, if the lack of cricket in actual summer wasn't enough, even when there is cricket at either end of the season games are ridiculously short

22 wickets in a day. Should be demoted to Division Two and docked 48 points for next season.

Must admit when I had a browse on my afternoon break it looked like the title race might be swinging with Kent really struggling and Yorkshire getting stuck into Surrey.

What a massive swing in just a few hours.

This is why cricket is now my favourite sport.

Half an hour into both games and I was ready to declare Hampfrica County champions

Interesting my mate was at Essex game

Just his view, not mine, that pitch wasn’t great but it was more the light than was costing wickets towards the end rather than pitch

He also maintains that Essex have no interest in making a result pitch and both teams have nout to play for

Aye it’s too late for Cc cricket and the groundsman are under enormous pressure

I read from afar people slagging off Strauss

I don’t agree personally and I think the idea for first class “festival” cricket in august is ideal. Yorkshire v lancashire at Scarborough in the hight of summer is brilliant, I’m sure Durham would be involved in these northern games too.

It’s much better than this reality which is Cc in nature but enjoyable to watch

Would be well worth it, I'd say

Absolutely love TB, after the Oval it's my fave Test ground

BOWLED SAMMYYYYY
Yeah it’s a cracking ground mate. I went to watch Notts play Middlesex there in the CC back in June and had a great day. Then popped into the Trent Bridge Inn for a pint and a burger after.

I can honestly see Hampshire pulling off this chase for some reason…

In Div 2, could Glamorgan pip the Middle Saxons to 2nd and promotion?

It seemed as though the pitch might’ve flattened out when Kent were building a sizeable lead today, but Hampfrica lost 4 wickets tonight and are still a long way off.

They sent Keith Barker in at 4 I saw, which given his ability and the time left in the game could’ve been more as a ‘pseudo-pinch hitter’ than a nightwatchman. He was out for next to nowt anyway so whatever the experiment was, it failed

The bigger story could be that Notts completely f**k it all up and don’t win the title :o

They’re looking likely to get hammered at Worcester by an innings, where they’ll only take 3 points. Then they’ll have to avoid defeat against us next week to guarantee promotion.

“We’ve got to go to Trent Bridge and get something. And, I tell you this now, I will LOVE IT if we beat them. LOVE IT!!”

Watching worc v notts with the durham match being off for rain. Whoever the woman is commentating on it she's shite can't even get her words out. There are some good female cricket commentators but this one is awful
