Social Cricket looking for a ground

Hi All - I play for a social cricket team, with the emphasis on social to give middle aged idiots a chance to re-capture their youth or people not past middle age to get on the pitch again.

We have really struggled to find a ground that we can use on a regular basis - 5 or 6 20 over games a season - and are looking for any existing clubns that dont have a team and may be able to fit us in.

We are looking for something between Durham and Newcastle - anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers

As @The Voice Of Reason says we don't have the capacity currently but from previous social cricket experience 8 would rexommend East Rainton or Houghtons old ground as both are ideally positioned for social cricket due to being on the gateway to the A19 and A1

Hi Rob - We have pretty much folded this year, only managed one game. Seems a few of the oldies are too old and a few of the young'uns, other than being complete helmets, have also got bored. Why do you ask?
That's a shame. If you play days other than Saturdays I'd be happy to help out. I'm assuming you play just friendlies and wouldn't need to worry about registrations (for those already registered at clubs)?

Would play 7 days a week if I could

We are looking at the possibility of playing (and hosting) some friendlies at East Rainton next year. Thought of yourselves as potential visitors. Time will tell.
