Paul Coughlin

So why’s he keep employing the bloke then after his performances??
I don't know. When is his contract due for renewal? Maybe, they've had 'the talk' and MN is watching and waiting. Or, maybe MN likes him or thinks he may be flawed but he's the best we can get. Or maybe I'm talking bs. Probably am.

:p

I still think Walker & Gidman would be better than what we have right now. Look at well the whole team performed under those two in the one day comp last year

They might be, but I don't think being in charge for a couple of weeks is necessarily any kind of proof that they are or that the good streak would continue.

Surely the proof of a coach is how the team progresses over more than a season and last year the team was doing better in more than just the 50 over comp. Again, I don't know the answer. I don't know whether Franklin is a food coach or not but the delcine this yeaar strongly suggests something is wrong and it may be wrong in more areas than simply coaching.

But, a coach buggering off mid season to coach a different team in a different competition is bad crack, obviously the hierarchy at Durham approved but if I had a say I'd insist on 100% for Durham or find a different employer.

the fact we’ve not got close to any trophies in the past 4 years means Franklin isn’t doing anything right. The only time we did was when he and Killeen weren’t at the club

We did better defending that total than I thought we would but it was never going to be enough.

I reckon we paid the price for our first team having a scheduled match yesterday.

Other wise we could have stuck more first teamers in today like they did.
