Once played in a team where I top scored with 6 and second man out at 10. Team all out for 12 and the umpire even had the cheek to rule out 1 for a short run

Yeah think so, could not remember whether it was under 15 or under 18 but remember it happening

Sure it was 1 all-out at U18 level .One of the local papers even replicated the scoreboard with Killeen and Lugsden smiling looking out of its window.Poor show from the Fell allowing them to skittle the SH lads out when they were both on Durham books.Also the club and press for literally taking the P

I played a 3rd team game for silksworth and we were bowled out for 39 I think. We had them 36-9 when our skipper dropped a catch. We lost on the next ball. Very poor cricket all round that day.

At school we bowled a team out for 14 and overhauled them with 2 wickets to spare. It was on some sort of artifical surface where the ball barely bounced above ankle height.

Was it a rubber matting in 2 parts where the edges curled up.Based on concrete slabs

Quite possibly.I recall it wasn't an effort to replicate actual blades of grass type surface but very smooth.

Also used to play on a bizarre surface like the picture below except the rubber bits were parallel. As much gap as rubber. It may still be used today.
