Football Insider say it's Mowbray.

This is another iasue for me. He's mates with our head of recruitment, out of work, presumably has a house locally and has been attending our games. If anything smacks of being done on bare minimum spend.
There's a whole world to have a look at where it seems we haven't looked beyond our immediate circle.

As long as its til the end of the season, I personally will be fairly happy. Anything beyond then I will be questiining the long-term ambition.

I would turn it round and suggest its your regarding as him being a Boro "Legend" that has you coming-up with this nonsense. You regularly wade in with the notion of all Sunderland fans being arrogant and regarding purselves as a massive club.
I would suggest its you with the problem regarding your own club.
I wanted a younger manager
That's my exact gripe mate about not looking about. Speakman saying we will go through a process.

Haway man, he was on £6m a year at Burnley, there's doing it on the cheap and there's hoying silly money at it. Dyche will hold out for a PL job while his stock is still relatively high.

He was never appointed as a manager. Just a head coach. What percentage of your earnings and capital do you donate? You donate what you can afford. Hopefully the current management group does the same, unlike Ellis Short, who presumably had more available finance but over-reached in an effort to buy success.
I buy three tickets . Bigger representation of my income than the ownerships wealth

Jesus if heard he was.good at developing players but if he got Rodwell playing then he deserves a medal
The development of the likes of Adam Armstrong - the Sky Bet Championship January Player of the Month - and Bradley Dack, coupled with the form of older players like Jack Rodwell have inspired the Lancashire club's impressive campaign.
It has been posted before but it is easier to check my history than find it

Think some people should be giving their heads a wobble. The entire reason we hate Neil is the same reason it’s hard to find a manager this time of the year. We’re 5 games into the season.

The players are good and have good character, I think Mowbray will do fine. Will be a one year deal anyway.

When i was told on Saturday that Tony Mowbray was in the frame i could not believe it as i thought he was a mackem hater, it seems that after a couple of days he is going to be installed in the next 24 hours.
Reading up various reports about him has changed my mind a bit as he seems to like to bring the young kids on, if that's so he with be a perfect fit for the plan the Sunderland Hierarchy are trying to follow. so like it or lump it if he does come he will get my support

But what has Keane done since then?
Only had 1 job granted. Mowbray hasn't done anything of note. Yes, i know he finished 8th, but why didn't Blackburn fans want the club to offer him a new deal at the end of the season? They were happy to see him gone. No bitterness, they just wanted someone else. If you finish 8th you would have thought there would have been a clamour for him to stay🤷‍♂️

Boring, cheap option appointment. KLD, Speakman and co are as bad as Donald and Methhead. Zero ambition and zero coin by the looks of it. Stuffing knocked right out of the support after a great start to the season. FFS
Actually think you are very wrong about this

Fingers crossed they have moved fast and Mowbray is in place for the Rotherham game

He has a good record at this level and I’m certainly going to give him a chance

HTSmoggie 🤣🤣🤣

Because he'd gone as far as he could ar blackburn

:lol::lol:

Or the fact results were dropping drastically

Didn't they lose 7-0 at home last season? Oh and again I'll quote you
"You're absolutely pathetic. Its a waste of time engaging with you. You made a fool of yourself last night and thankfully most people see through you.

So ill leave it there"

Thank you, I’ll check your other post.

I thought you were another Rovers fan who had posted on here that had no positives to say about him. That’s the post that is getting referred to and reposted by quite a few who already have their minds made up. The main thing he said was that Mowbray’s football was awful. Not attacking and not attractive. Good to hear a different perspective. Thank you.
That other poster makes some valid complaints, but it is not balanced - it makes it sound like TM was awful for us, he really wasn't overall. I definitely think it was the right time for a change and a new direction but he did do a lot of good for us. THere are negatives, of course, which grate after 5 or so seasons. Only one season would I say our football was boring. When he decided to try and boss possession for possessions sake. Having the ball but going nowhere with it. Fortunately, he ditched that style the following season and the football was much better for it.

Johnson and Neil did to be fair
Johnson certainly did not and Neil has always felt he was better than us and the league he was brought into. He got us promoted which was his remit, I’d even suggest that automatic was his actual target.
I can’t understand why she is an issue here with a fella who is just three years older than Klopp.
I’d be all for a Manning appointment, fraught with risk, but we’ve been dealt Mowbray, seemingly, so let’s just get behind the idea. If we’d been given this just six months ago, sat mid table in championship appointing a manager who finished in top10 of championship last season, we would be pretty content.
