Harvey probably. Will certainly have recommended him at least. He was head of player analysis at the time. They signed Danny Graham at the same time and Mowbray was playing him ahead of Diaz.

Arguably quite an ambitious move bringing in a manager that finished 8th in this division last season. Not as obviously ambitious as Dyche for example but not entirely unambitious. I’m not excited by Mowbray but he’s generally done okay to quite well in this league, seems on board with developing young players and is very familiar with the division and area. I think he might be just what we need even if he’s not what we want.
