Here's the main problem we have had last 4 seasons before this Garbage talent acquisition: 46 of these players no longer here and I'm sure I'm missing a few:

IMHO the model should be that Coaches coach, manager manages game day and recruitment team do the homework on the players that team needs. Managers will have a limited knowledge of players.

The people crying about Mowbray seem to be most concerned about his accent and boring interviews. When did this become a criteria for judging a manager? They'd have hated Bob Paisley.
 
Put this in another thread, but can live in here too.

Some saying they don’t want him, without really knowing his recent history or his style of play. It’s seems to be just ‘oh it’s Mowbray, he’s a dinosaur’.

Reality is, Neil us left us in the shit and it’s a situation where we need to be quick to rectify.

The transfer window ends in 5 days time, we need a lot of players through the door. If we don’t have a manager, we might lose out on targets.

We have a very inexperienced squad for this league, so hiring a Manning at this stage is just dangerous and could easily relegate us.

Getting Mowbray in instantly protects our transfer business, he is fully aligned with Harvey as they’re very close, and is actually happy with a youthful side, rather than wanting older pros.

His experience in this league will help our inexperienced squad, which will be worth a number of points and will make our young lads better. He had Evans before, so will have the club captain on side instantly. He had Van Hecke last season, and he plays a similar formation to what we’re playing now.

Sometimes you just have to evaluate the situation and accept that certain things like this makes sense at times
 
It would be such a dull appointment, I think he would keep us up no issue ( we look like we will anyway), but it’s just an appointment that feels like it hasn’t got any growth in it, like we would have to get someone else in a year or 2 to push again.
