Latest boxing crack

As bad as some of the judges are sometimes, you gotta remember these guys have no tools like a replay for them to indicate whether it was a clean hit, it's all real life time for them.

Glenn Feldman is generally okay, he just had a bad night.
Do judges have monitors these days?

Not terrible just fights like he's still doing K1. Eats far too many shots, first clean shot which went through he gets dropped. Can't do in that in Boxing.
Soon as he fights for a proper title he will get dismantled. He’s nowhere near good enough.

After watching the above I watched a a Peter fury breakdown of the fight, and Christ he must be the most bang on the money trainer I’ve heard. No malice against AJ like Tyson and John. Just a real boxing man who knows stuff. Savannah Marshall who he trains soon up.
Here it is

You don't score rounds on how many punches landed, that's Olympic Boxing scoring and they did away with that for a reason.

The 2 main criteria's are who's the main aggressor and who has ring control - Why do they this is because just because you score a knockdown doesn't mean you've won the round, you can have a 9-9 round if you're a pussy.

There's other criteria's such as clean blows but again that goes back to the Olympic style scoring they did away with.

Always liked Harold lederman, HBO's unofficial scorer, didn't always agree with him, but he was part of the best boxing broadcasting team I know of, way better than any current ones, even though I still enjoy watching it, nothing matches the quality of the hbo shows....Jim!!! Class.
Not keen on even rounds but think that 10-9 for a narrowly won round, 10-8 for a clear round, 10-7 for a knockdown and going on from there would be a much better way of doing it than the current system.
Also 5 judges would help, 1 extra ringside and one watching on moniters in a soundproof room

Didn't think you could have 9-9 rounds? It's 10 point must, someone has to score 10 unless you have a point deducted, but the point comes off at the end anyway so it would still be 10-8 minus 1 to be deducted.

A 9-9 is just a 10-8 in favour of the person with the 8. I don't think I've ever seen it much like a 10-10.

For example, the round where Wilder knocked Fury down for the "knockout", Tyson won that round by miles. He got clipped with a 2 shot combo after comfortably winning the round until then, then got up and beat Wilder up for the rest of the round, almost stopping him.
But lost 2 points, and ultimately cost him the win.

You can't give 9-9 though unless there is a point deduction, someone has to score 10.

Essentially if you knock down your opponent you are guaranteed to win the round 10-8 unless you are knocked down yourself.

Just been checking - yeah, you cannot give a 9-9 round. You can take a point off someone, but that's outside of the round scoring system.
The judges HAVE to give at least one fighter 10 points.

So the best you can do in the situation I mentioned above for Tyson is to score the round level as 10-10, but then deduct 1 for the knockdown, making it s 10-9 to Wilder (for example) Effectively saying that the knockdown was a major event of the round, but it was matched by good work from the other side during the round.

Surprised to see no comments about Fury's latest decision. Let's get this undisputed on.
I’ve been biting my tongue for the last week to the point where i’ve got nothing left !!

Belitting Usyk as a pumped up middleweight, referring to him as a ‘foreigner’, saying he’ll smash him in 4 rounds when he barely managed to smash Pianeta in 4 rounds ! Truly embarrassing and a disgracefully deluded ego.

For him to say that Usyk needs him and the fights all about money is a disgrace and a disservice to him being champion !

And thats the last i’ll say about Fury until i revel in Usyk beating him

I really want to see the fight. I like them both but want to ask you this. If Fury does fight and beat Usyk would that be the win he needs for you to change your opinion on him (as a fighter not his personality).

100% it would yeah mate, it would be Fury beating an elite boxer, the best or 2nd best current active Heavyweight, i’ve argued my way through Fury’s resume over many of these pages but if he beats Usyk he proves he’s unquestionably the best of this era and wouldnt need to fight anyone else to prove that

Hope it does happens mate. Would settle alot of debates. As I've said I like them both but I think I would be rooting for Usyk.
