No. It shows why he shouldn’t be any better off at Stoke, all other things being equal.

So if he decides to go - all other things weren’t equal were they? And I for one will be wanting to know, from the ownership/management, why.
If he decides to go, it's his decision, he'll have decided they suit him better.
I'm not going to create a hissy fit and take his personal choice as proof that they are better run.
IF he's decided to talk to them the day before a big game then he's not the sort of person who should be managing our club.

Let him go, obviously pretty typical of another greedy person who is only interested in himself.
He is pretty average to be fair

It's more to do with how he treated us last time to be honest, and how I know how Sky Sports work. I just can't get on board with what Pete O'Rourke is saying. It's just not how negotiations are done these days.

There are no negotiations to be had. They have been done in the week. Do you genuinely think Stoke approached Sunderland to ask permission to speak to our manger with contacting to see if he'd be up for it first?

I know people are going to say “it’s our own fault for not sorting the contract out” etc.

But ha’way man, Stoke? Really?

If it was a premier league job, or an international job, or a club that he grew up supporting, or even like a massive pay day in China or whatever I’d half understand why you’d want to at least speak to them.
Yep. Had he stayed and done a class job with us this season, he could be set up for a far bigger pay day next season.

Alex Neil is good at telling reporters that he knows nothing about what they are asking and that they seem to know more than him. If he’s staying, even if there has been talks with Stoke, he’ll act like the reporters are speaking Chinese to him.
He's a right subordinate bastard to them at the best of times, when he puffs out the sighs after every question

We buy players for the club first and foremost…the squad as it stands now is competing in the top 5 of the Championship…if he can’t manage a squad like that then he can go fuck himself at Stoke who are sitting 21st!!

This all the way

Bye....

“Following a formal approach by SCFC, the Club is contractually obliged to permit the Head Coach to start a dialogue with the Potters.”

They say that as if they weren’t a party to the contract which obliges that. Or able to give him a new one over the last few months.

Clowns.

The comments on the Costa Rican lad also. They were as lukewarm as they could have been. Neil wanted players for the here and now and they delivered a boy with no experience and not an English speaker to fanfare.
He knew thats the way the club are going. He even mentioned it himself. Does he want the club to change to suit him?

I agree with Neil on the recruitment. But I agree with you that he can go fuck himself at Stoke.

We’re Sunderland. You don’t go and flash your knickers at Stoke and come back here asking for a shag.

What a shock that he would go to Stoke after what he has done so far with you.
When Stoke rang and said we would like to talk to your manager why didn't your club just say no.
Because the shit contract they had given him and the compensation Stoke would have to pay is a pittance in relative terms to the massive package from Stoke. It’s that simple. There is a lot of egotistical clowns and narcs who actually believe AN can be easily replaced. More fool them.
