Stoke fan saying yesterday that owners helicopter landed up here Wednesday
Fair point mate, although I can’t see why he’d want a rolling contract?
No. Neil wanted the deal he got. Club is on the right pathThis means Speakman is rubbish again?
Seem to remember that Wycombe gave Ainsworth permission to speak to us after we sacked Ross.Certain I've previously seen clubs confirm that their manager has been given permission to speak to another club.
Lots of people just hearing things.......attention seeking at its finest.
I would say it's nailed on.Is Neil actually going?? It’s jumped about 50 pages since I last looked.
As others have said already, this 12-month rolling contract was always going to massively weaken the clubs hand in any negotiation that was ever going to take place with him about his future.
Resident mood hoover, ignoreWho says he’s missing the game tomorrow like?
You’ll know nowt until 2pm
We’ll tell you what happens in the press conference at 2, so you don’t need to wait the extra hour!
TrueThey chose Keane, who turned them down last minute, before even considering Neil.
Neil applied for the role himself and wasn't approached by the club before that.
They got once in a lifetime lucky and it won't happen again.
Fair point but I was just suggesting that this may always have been a temporary arrangement in his head. If it is true that he wanted a rolling contract then I could only think it was for an easy get out.Isn't that the case in EVERY profession ?
What a strange post
Agree mateI would say it's nailed on.

Still 2/5 on Skybet so fill your boots!Wow, odds are as bad (from our viewpoint) as 1/4 for AN as next Stoke manager.
I’ve backed the club to the hilt but there is no way you can be positive about this. It’s just Big Sam leaving for England again.No. Neil wanted the deal he got. Club is on the right path
More than stoke, they cant spend fuck all cos of ffp, havnt for couple yearI don't think we've actually spent that much. Although it's almost impossible to know. Think they've structured deals so up front very little is paid.
Not sure if already mentioned - but he did something similar at Preston.
West Brom were 'interested' which he used as leverage to land a 3-year contract with Preston to stay.
