FFS i was worried about him leaving if we had lost the play offs but thought (and still hope) he’d be up for having a crack at the championship with SAFC.

Got me thinking why me? Why always little old me? I ran a 5k for disabled children last month and I once helped a nun to safety after she had a fall on a busy road just outside of York city centre 😭😭😭

I've heard your brother owns a sword shop too.

one way or the other this has to be resolved today

he can't take tomorrow's game if he's basically decided he's away but waiting for Stoke to conclude their interviews etc

Anyone else having an absolutely terrible day at work? I’ve had the piss taken out of me all day about this. I’ll never be allow myself to be positive about this club ever again if this all goes to shit today
Aye, starting to get messages on Teams from the Mags.

Do not listen to the people spouting shite about ‘hearing things’ and ‘sources say not looking good’. No one will know fuck all, proven time and time again man. Unless someone has a direct line in to a senior director or alex Neil I hardly doubt they are being dropped a text every 20 mins providing updates.

I know what you mean but thats not my take on this funnily enough

I don’t think a coach being willing to speak to another club, currently below us in the table, is necessarily a sign of things going swimmingly well behind the scenes.

It could be a myriad of reasons, most likely they will pay him a lot more, he may wish to have more autonomy etc.

Our strategy shouldn't involve paying people top dollar because we're desperate, Stoke are, he has been provided with the foundations to impress here and of course, he has.

Kind of par for the course of succeding in a manner that involves a budget in my opinion.

Serious questions need to be asked if the club are just allowing him to leave without even putting up a fight.

I can’t get my head around it though. He’s managing in front of 40k every week in the Championship atm. And he wants to go and manage f***ing Stoke man?
Managers would go to the Middle East and play in front of 40 if the money was right.

Stoke sack manager Wednesday, permission to talk to a top manager Friday.
SAFC sack/lose a manager put out sone bollocks about due diligence being conducted, take weeks appointing anyone, lose a load of games in the process.

It’s the SAFC way.
