2nd test Old Trafford

I haven’t been on here for a while and keep it steady as you go to close ofplsy.
As a matter of small interest I was wondering what Carty had for tea.
As for me I had chicken burger and some hash brows.
Nowt fancy😁
Pizza and chips at around 130pm. The pic is on the thread but I’ll retrieve it

That was more like a test match after tea at last

well done crawley and bairstow

our day now . 111 for 3 , forty behind

I can now understand your lack of tea time replenishment.
Was it all solely for you? Did the dog get owt?😂
the mrs was on a donner kebab and salad, but little lucky got a few chips and a bit of kebab

shes only a little un, so she can’t eat much . I left a few crust edges for the birds

I do get that point....Great when it comes off.
But
do you think they take into account conditions?..The bowling attack?, all the other peripheries that surround the game?
I honestly don't.... "Go for it, to hell in a handcart" I find simply stupid....Chasing 143?..Just take singles, nowt daft, play the day out, play the next one out, even the first session of the 3rd day...Then you have the option of playing the daft stuff.....if it comes off...you have won, if it doesn't....you probably still win...Its nonsense to me this...F.ookin' baseball with a touch of blind mans bluff
Like I said mate it’s a question of balance between the two.

We lost 1 in 17 tests been far to timid, openers at times were not even rotating the strike.

It you just get bogged down just simply looking to bat time, you neither score runs then eventually get out.

And all you done is bat time with no runs putting pressure on next batsman.

But of course you need to assess conditions and game situation at that current time
