On a side note I didn't know there was a Blackpool in Ireland. If Dublin also means Blackpool in Gaelic then Ireland has 2 places with the same name in different languages.

Blackpool is a suburb of Cork city in County Cork, Ireland.

It is situated in the north of the city, on the N20 road to Mallow. Blackpool is part of the Cork North Central Dáil constituency.

I was enjoying that read until I came to the caption beneath the pic of RK holding up the MUFC scarf after he signed.

1993

1993 – almost 30 years ago FFS. THIRTY YEARS. Now I feel even older and will cry into my porridge.
The frightening thing for me is when you remember his transfer to Man Utd in 1993 was a British record £3.75 million. That’s probably about £7 million in todays money, shows how crazy the game has gone!
