Attendance Thread - Norwich City

Or you provide a decent level of customer service so those who cant or dont want to go on line can purchase a ticket or alternatively turn up on match day and get access with cash or contactless.
I can never understand why people post stuff like this. It's the 21st century almost everything is done online now. Almost everyone has a smart phone and can easily buy tickets through that

I understand that a very small percentage of our fanbase might not be able too either them being very elderly or have some kind of disability but those people will almost certainly have people in their lives who would do it for them.

Not many concerts, or theatre for instance have people turning up buying tickets at a kiosk

Why should they need "to have someone do it for them"?

Perhaps they value their independence.

Why should they not have the ability to carry on "doing for it themselves" just because some cxvt with a spreadsheet says that they are outdated?

It's the way things are now if it's not today then it will be further down the line that everything is done online. But people will still moan.

Stop your patronising shite fella.

This might work for you but it doesnt work for many.

For many but not for all. See the Im alright jack sod everyone else fans out tonight.

Imagine what attendances would be if made it easy for all supporters to support the Club.

They'd be pretty much the same. You're a fool if you think 1000s are staying away when our ticketing policy is the same as just about every other club in the top 2 divisions.

Great post
Technology is great at times but some people like face to face contact .
Wether it be banks , shops , pubs ticket offices -they are all closing and we are going to end up with little contact other than from behind a screen or waiting on a phone for half an hour before speaking to a faceless person if you ever get through. I use technology but prefer the “ owld days “ of personal interaction and speaking to those in the ticket office whom you get to know on a friendly basis.
Safc should cater for those who want to turn up in person .

Work for many ??? Fuck off man I understand a small percentage of people can't or won't use online purchases but you're talking out of your arse when you say many.

I bet all these people you say can't or won't use online purchases would some how find a way if it meant money going in to their account

Even if it’s 100 they are important. ( née idea how many it is btw )
Making everyone feel “ special “ should be an underlying principle of any good customer based business.

I thought they had the ticket office open now so people can go and purchase tickets?

As a genuine question, how much money should we lose as a club doing this before it’s unsustainable? I know it’s about more than that but there has to be a line surely

Have you ever tried to buy match tickets for us on a smart phone.
It's nigh on impossible to pick your own seat doing it on a phone. When I've bought seats for mates who wanted seats next to me always ended up doing it on the laptop.
It's about time the club got into the 21st century and sorted out all of their online content.
The club shop website is shocking too, canny bit of the stuff has no size guides on for kids gear.

I know loads of people who find it straight forward

I don't see how it's classed as losing money, should be simply classed as an overhead for running a professional football club.
BTW I'm all for online tech if they can get it right. They also need to provide decent lines of support for when things do go wrong which I think has been the main problem.

Go on your phone now and try and pick two seats next to each other.
Don't use the auto option where it allocates you a seat, actually go on and try and pick them from the seat map and get to the check out stage

As I say I dint have a problem personally ( season ticket ) but I get that some may still want to pay at the gate or turn up in the day and buy a ticket or ring up and buy one
Think it was chaos v qpr for some .

Did the club give any answer to the cash/ not online purchases request?
They obviously did not implement anything.
Was the question even asked by the fan groups ?
