Ticket shambles today

Exactly. No apology of anything just mentions of the 'higher ups'. I do have some sympathy with those in the firing line as it is not their fault.

I'm moving house week after next and just won't have time to go and stand in a queue for 2 hours so unless they fix and post back to me I'm not going to bother with Norwich.
Agree with your sentiments BUT are they going to refund you for their incompetence. After all you have paid for that match in advance.

is the ticket office open this week?
Looks like 10-5 all week according to this. Page updated yesterday.

I still got to the game though. It was a piss take, and Chris said on the phone that they couldn't even get my ticket to work in the ticket office, but then the letter implies it was fans trying the wrong turnstiles.

F**k knows, it's sorted and looks like they're trying to sort themselves out.

After being at work most weekends I finally bought a season ticket for my husband and I this season (I had one at Roker Park)
As my back is really bad, I paid extra for a more comfortable seat in the black cats bar - end of a row, so I could have more room to wriggle about and try and be comfortable.
We were sat at the match on Saturday and were tapped on the shoulder to be told we were in someone’s seats. The had had them seats for 10 years.
Rows behind and in front confirmed this.
Their seats had been renewed two seats along.
There was discussions and advice from stewards with regards to getting in touch with the ticket office (which I did laugh in their face, I’ve been trying to buy a parking bay since June)
I can’t in good conscience sit in their seat of 10 years, so know I’m going to have to move.
However just wanted to give the other side to the story, I bought my ticket in good faith in March and now eff knows where they going to shove me and my husband.
I need the space of an end row and I just can’t see there are any left in the black cats bar… likelyhood is if they can’t accommodate me I will have to get a refund, am not paying that much money to be totally uncomfortable.
This one's confused me slightly...
So the seats you bought were on the aisle due to your back issues, but because someone has been sitting there for 10yr they wanted to sit there?
Surely if you've paid for that seat then you sit there...if they wanted the seats they should have bought them ones...
Or have I got things completely muddled ?

It isn't you that's muddled @i am will.
It is all down to muddle in the (ridiculously understaffed) Ticket Office.

Goes something like this

c2012 Supporter X buys season tickets and renews every year.
Supporter X renews for 2022-23 (probably by doing nothing as he/she is on auto renew DD)
Something goes wrong at the Ticket Office and Supporter X's auto renew doesn't happen correctly and is moved by 2 seats. The seats are incorrectly released for sale.
@3catsmam buys X's ailse seats as Season Tickets.

All 4(?) turn up expecting to sit in the 2 seats next to the aisle.

Yep which I guess that's kind of how I read it...but also the possibility that those that originally sit there ,do they just do that as no one else has been in them or are all seats sold in the BCB .
Now someone has bought them they now can't sit there...if as is said they've been moved 2 seats along by mistake then it doesn't surprise me...
Really needs sorting this carry on.

Got to say, in your circumstances and if I had a ticket with the same seat number I was sat in, I'd have refused to move. Not your problem.

Ahhh.I know who you mean, they've been there for god knars how long. Occasionally there will be new faces in "their" seats when they are on holiday so I think that was the presumption in the first match when they were occupied by you.

The 2 seats to the left that you said had been mistakenly renewed for them were almost always empty previous seasons. Someone we know enquired about moving into them last season but were told by the ticket office that they were sold and the owner had renewed, the same this season - I did wonder if they'd actually been sat in the wrong seats forever :)

I hope you get sorted, especially if you need an aisle seat - and if my 2 were aisle, I'd have been happy enough to swap them (as long as you didn't mind the 27 toilet breaks).

Good Luck!

Hi thanks so much. That’s kind.
We have shit out, there isn’t an aisle seat to be had in the SoL. We had a trek up yesterday.
Sadly we didn’t feel right in someone else’s seats (despite us buying in March in good faith) so we gave them up and got a refund.
Bloody good seats as well 😂

It seems that some (many) seats have been missold. As the computer systems show them as for sale but they aren’t? (According to the craic )

Yes, this exactly. But with much embarrassment by us for added measure.

Lady in the ticket office did mention this solution, but in good conscience we couldn’t do it to the other folk. He has a bad back too.

You're obviously a better person than me!

Sorry to hear that, what a mess....club have shot themselves in the foot here, and wonder how with how many others.

FWIW I think I'd have done the same in the situation, appreciate it's the a problem of the clubs making, but would make for a potentially uncomfortable season sitting in someones seat they've had forever, while they are sat right next to you (although from what I know of them, they seem sound)

A shame the club couldn't have recognised their issue, and your needs and gone above and beyond the shrug of the shoulders.
