Crawley finished?

Whatever is said if he doesn’t score runs in the next 2 tests he will not too tour in the winter imo.

Surely this talk is purely to try and keep up the lads confidence.

He can’t keep playing there has to be a cut off point at some point.

It would be an interesting experiment to stick with someone so bad for the entirety of their career.

The year is 2036 and Zak Crawley is hoping to get out of his summer slump averaging 6.3. “We back him entirely and he will not be dropped” says England coach Ben Stokes as Crawley approaches James Anderson’s record of 179 caps despite a career average of 18.72.

Agreed seen some awful players open for us but can’t think of worse. Sadly Lees looks totally out of his depth as well such hard hands and bat way out in front of his pad.

Lees will be dropped before Crawley
Agreed, but he shouldn't be.

Don't get me wrong, neither are good enough, but I feel a bit more secure with Lees than Crawley. Reminds me a bit of Denley - clearly not at the level required, but you also feel a score is on the horizon

He was in the team because he was supposed to be a composed and assertive opener. Was terrible at that so has now gone traditionally defensive and is shite at that as well
