Jan Paul van Hecke (rumour)

A sad state of the times is that Sunderland are having to loan players from Brighton - I.e. I find it sad that we aren’t performing to our potential and they are arguably performing way above what they could traditionally expect. Does that make sense to you? No disrespect to Brighton, but in the grand scheme of things we are a much bigger club.
Hmmm

Currently they are a well established Premier League club who play some fantastic football, we are miles off them at the moment, we are on the up but a long way to go

Brighton is a very slick operation from top down, mind. They’ve arguably been slick for as long as we’ve been diabolical. I go a few times a season - went last weekend as it happens, disappointed not to see the skunks take a beating - and everything is in very good shape from commercial to recruitment to facilities to on the pitch itself. I believe we’ll go past them again in future as we’re still the archetypal sleeping giant (or something like that) but not for a little while yet. No shame in loaning some of their young talent. They have a good eye.

Blackburn fans seem a tad unhappy. They thought he would go to a Championship big boy or them.

Given our average attndance is twice our nearest rivals I would have though that makes us a big boy. :)

Sounds like a brilliant signing for this league and he can play in the centre or the right of a back 3. Top work by Stuart Harvey and Speakman.
