North East v Yorkshire.
The one victory that springs to mind was when Williams scored. After that I’m struggling to think of one. That’s not to say there isn’t.In the real NE derby, we all know we've done the mags six in a row and been done by them 5 in a row a couple of times.
However, I have no idea what the record is with Boro. I think they might well have done us 6/7 in a row ?? What about us Vs them, anyone any idea ??)
We used to be fairly dominant over them prior to the 70sThe one victory that springs to mind was when Williams scored. After that I’m struggling to think of one. That’s not to say there isn’t.
Yorkshire do/did play cricket matches at Middlesbrough'Yorkshire' supports Leeds/ one of the two Sheffield clubs though.
Boro's most recent 6 match record against Sunderland is WWWWWD. Only a last-gasp 97th-minute injury-time goal by Sunderland prevented that record being 6 wins out of 6 for Boro.In the real NE derby, we all know we've done the mags six in a row and been done by them 5 in a row a couple of times.

I disagreeThe fact there are 26 pages debating if is this is a derby proves it’s not a derby (which it’s not).![]()
Interestingly I had the opposite opinion. We don’t have 26 pages debating whether Stoke is a derby, because it isn’t. The fact this one has taken up 26 pages worth of conversation might indicate that there is more to this game than othersThe fact there are 26 pages debating if is this is a derby proves it’s not a derby (which it’s not).![]()
Our friendly derby with Norwich is more of a derby than this man.I disagree
Again, did you ever go to Ayresome Park? Our friendly derby with Norwich is more of a derby than this man.
Middlesbrough generally get very little mention on here. When they won the LC and got to a UEFA Cup final, we barely batted an eyelid. If that was the Mags, we’d comment and whinge ad naueseum. People don’t give a shite about Middlesbrough man.Interestingly I had the opposite opinion. We don’t have 26 pages debating whether Stoke is a derby, because it isn’t. Just the Riverside (twice). But if your criteria is “was there bother at the match?”, we must have played a derby most weeks in the 70s and 80s.Again, did you ever go to Ayresome Park?
Surely 26 pages suggests otherwise? Don’t think that’s true either. There’s a thread about Reading’s goal today being offside, the general reaction is that nobody minds if the call is wrong because Middlesbrough suffered from itMiddlesbrough generally get very little mention on here. There is a thread on each of Arsenal and Steve Gerrard as well. Are they derbies for us?Surely 26 pages suggests otherwise? Don’t think that’s true either. I didn’t say that did it. They’re not going on for 26 pages debating how much they mean to usThere is a thread on each of Arsenal and Steve Gerrard as well. Are they derbies for us?
If they were a derby, there’d be one page with a consensus of “yes”. There is clearly no consensus in our support that they’re a derby (you won’t convince me they are).I didn’t say that did it. They’re not going on for 26 pages debating how much they mean to us
The ‘Denial’ Derby. If they were a derby, there’d be one page with a consensus of “yes”. There is clearly no consensus in our support that they’re a derby (you won’t convince me they are).
No, the criteria I am using is that there was more of an edge v Boro than any other club bar the Mags when I started going in the mid 80s.Middlesbrough generally get very little mention on here.
