Haven't seen him for a few years but he was living in Seaham. He had a son who played local youth football the same time as my eldest grandson. He used to turn up to the bairns games then be on his mobile rather than watch, strange fella.

i always find it fascinating that anyone from newcastle has to tell everyone about 30 times.

im a geordie aye mate aye. yeah born in the toon. aye a support newcastle as well. could you not tell from my NUFC name, NUFC twitter handle and black and white emojis in my name ?
Yes, the problem with attention seekers is that they can't help themselves. Whether it's for positive or negative attention, the drive for recognition is insatiable and must be filled one way or the other.

Was in the Sun newspaper Saturday giving his thoughts on premier league refs, when he came to Jonathan Moss, he said he was a crap ref and looks about 8 months pregnant

Then he said Moss supported a shit team in Sunderland, I take it he’s a Geordie and even so shouldn’t he be keeping that to himself

My question is did he ever ref any of your games?
Is this the Mark Clattenburg who's business went bust and he had people chasing him , hence his departure to China and Dubai.? Or is it the one the EFL were going to bin due to information they allegedly had...

I started reffing about 4 years ago when my playing days were starting to wind down, didn't enjoy coaching or managing so started to get involved with the reffing. On the whole I find it enjoyable, difficult at times for obvious reasons but a decent way to stay involved with the game. One thing which I have discovered is just how strange the refereeing world is. It's 50% sound as fuck lads and lasses who are willing to help their fellow refs out to get up the ladder and 50% complete arse holes. It seems that the higher up the chain the more chance there is of coming across someone who is up their own arse and MC is a perfect example of the latter
Nice reply 👍

I always thought he looked like one of those boring narcissistic police officers into body building that would appear on those shitty real life police shows.

They should have asked him about his electrical firm who bumped loads of people.

May be wrong but wasn’t he the ref that played on when v Liverpool Michael Turner back healed the ball to the spot where a free kick should have been taken, and so nobody was ready, out of position and Torres scored??

Jon Moss runs a great record shop in Headingley and seems like a thoroughly decent fella. Clattenburg’s a gobshite taking dollar in countries with questionable regimes whose business left suppliers out of pocket. Nice little microcosm of us and them.
