There’s been more than enough evidence in the first 4 games that Sunderland AFC are going to be alright.
If AN gets 4/5 more through the door then the evidence suggests we could be very alright.

After losing 2-1 how are you able to say that? Fans seem more assured after losing than after a win these days. Defeats have replaced wins as the primary source of happiness and positivity it seems.

People would think we had won 2-1 if you read that and didn’t see the score.

Maybe because he has seen the performances over the results? A decent start. Promising that we will be ok nowt more nowt less

  true to form marra

Massive learning curve for our Young uns the neet and came thru with flying colours when it would have been so easy to cave in.

Character is more on display in a loss than a win hence the upbeat sense

I see. I’m so sorry I said all the vile things I said on the matchday thread. I take them all back. I see performances are valued above wins and points in Sunderland AFC. The result doesn’t matter to Sunderland supporters as much as the performances. Keep on playing like that and get the same result and everyone is happy. One bad performance and a win isn’t as good as a hundred good performances and no wins. Sunderland fans have always seen performances as more important than wins.

You’re an absolute idiot you mind, we’re playing a side that’s almost certainly going to be in the top 4.
Haven’t got a f***ing clue have ya

Mate. There are big reasons for this poster. It’s not for me to say anymore but it would open eyes

Mate. Having done 19 years of service on here I realise there are people on here that think that sun shines out of every SAFC players arse and there are others that think no matter what happens, the SAFC world is imploding tomorrow.
You’re the latter. You’ve had plenty of, ‘he’s a Mag’ shit thrown at you. For the record, I don’t think you are. Not that it matters.
No idea how long you’ve been watching SAFC or football in general. Appreciate I’m sounding condescending here but when a team plays for an hour with 10 men away from home against a team expected to finish top 6 and ends up losing by one that’s a decent effort.
It boils my urine that no matter what SAFC do, people on here bitch or see the negatives.
We’re competing with pretty much the lads that got us out of L1. Our front two - would you swap them for anyone else in the division? I wouldn’t.
Yes, we’re short. Yes we need signings. However, I don’t have to tint my red and white glasses too much to see that we are massively competitive. If a f***ing goalkeeper hadn’t scored on Saturday and we played with 11 tonight we could be top of this league.

We hope we’re ok. The main players will see us mid table but we’re so weak in strength in depth that a couple of injuries and suspensions will see us in a relegation dog fight.

Lose Saturday and we’re at a point a game which would be circa 6 points adrift of safety come the end of the season.

Never gonna happen!

You can lose a game of football to one of the top sides of the division you know, especially with the heart we showed. It’s a positive that we are showing battle with 10 men.

Absolutely mental you are

Having played 3 away and 2 at home with a squad that will massively strengthen (we hope) by Aug 31.
This is my bug bear. For fuck sake be positive!!!’ We’re getting 37k+ through the gate, 10k+ than every other team in the league and 20k+ more than most!
We’re the biggest club in this league by a f***ing million miles.
Win Saturday and we’re likely top 6. Why post ‘if we lose’ shit?
Realise this this could be years of what this club has done to you but Ha’way man, the sun is rising tomorrow and the next day.

More television revenues than other teams in the league, it would appear.
