so it's not an umpire's responsibility to ensure the bat is the correct dimensions?
Meanwhile Surrey CCC have escaped censure for failing to fulfil a CC fixture last year as it is NOT a player's responsibility to arrange transport to a game.

Good answer! Just as I expected. Seriously, though, why should misbehaviour at the Hundred be exempt from the kind of sanctions that County Clubs (or recreational clubs for that matter) are penalised for. Surely, it’s nothing to do with money is it?
Wouldn't suit the agenda of ECB promoting it as " a family frriendly" tournament. Imagine any flashpoint will be dealt with quietly in-house.
