Notts Vs Durham - One Day Cup - 14th Aug


Gutsy effort to take it to the end of the 48th over with 8 wkts down. Playing devils advocate was batting only 45 overs a key issue 🤔 Why only 2 overs from OJ and Mitcy not coming on until the 35th

Well he has captained this season, whilst borthwick captaincy has led to poor results I won't judge him too harshly under franklin
 
A tight match but it still goes down as another defeat. Looks like Somerset are going to win so we'll be bottom of the table tonight.
 
A good match I suppose, but dear me Durham, another loss and another game where at no stage did they look like a team likely to come out on top.

It's all very well playing the youngsters, but it feels like they're being played because there's no one else and not because they are ready.
 
Did anyone else hear Marty say today that Eckersley is actually looking for another county?

I thought he was going to pursue an alternative career away from cricket.

Not for the first time. He probably is going to study, I heard that a while back, perhaps he was going to jack in cricket after falling out with Franklin but after further thought/calming down he's going to keep playing. He's certainly good enough. Only an idiot would argue otherwise

Been some very strange decisions. Killeen only bowled a few overs today on debut and needing wickets at the end we bowl Maddinson... I don't understand that one bit. No Doneathy has me puzzled unless he's injured which I don't think he was on Friday

Doneathy is a f***ing odd one like. Can't blame Franklin for decisions right now so not sure what's going on.

Honestly need a clear out. Those not committed to Durham ahead of 16.4 teams I'd see that back of..that means Franklin, north and tbh wouldn't be that bothered by Killeen anarl as he left last year. Surely if you sign a contract at Durham you work for durham

Durham have always been at their best when they've had a strong leader- Boon, Hussey, Benkenstein.

Maybe we need to bring a tough overseas player here and make him captain. Not sure who would be available though.

Good effort with the ball but coming up short again. No way to gloss it over, this is looking like a really poor season , I didn't see it being like this in April.
