Why do people wait for the concourse? There's usually around 5,000 tickets to purchase in the lower bowl when the tickets are released? I understand the demand is high at the moment and the club probably should have opened a block or two in the concourse yesterday.

But surely there's not loads of people just sat waiting for weeks in the hope they open the concourse.

They're not going to open it until the numbers mean they have to do it. The more people wait and leave lower bowl unsold, the less likely it is they open the concourse. Self-defeating really.

There isn't , it's just people using it as an excuse to say they aren't going

I can see the point. But with singles dotted everywhere it'll be hard to sell the lower bowl now. No harm in opening 1-2 blocks in the concourse the day before a match if sales are close to 35k

Depends if they're looking at the seat map, or just the total numbers.

Tracker
35,256 Total Seats made available for sale in lower bowl
35,020 Home Fans
2,250 Corporate
900 Away Fans (Allocation of initial 2000)
Less c500 Blanked out
37,670 Total
236 Available seats for sale

Rock and a hard place. 99% + of home tickets gone, with 9000 empty up top.
But if the top is opened too early, the bottom bit would have 2k empty .
Then, if the top is opened, a lot of displaced season ticket holders will want to be back up there. ( I was P12) .

No easy answer. I think the club MAY have been surprised at the level of ST sales.

It cant go on like , 99.5% sold out, singles only available, with a 9k seat extension sitting there.
If things going well at Xmas might be worth an excersize in moving displaced back ( 2k ?) Selling their lower seats , and then opening up the Prem for new part ST and matchday.

Big operation like. And would need flexibility from the supporters. And a good IT system , and a well functioning ticket office.

Premier concourse unaccounted for as that's definitely been opened.

[/QUOTE I am in the South Stand and there are a couple of places in the North with blocks of seats empty.
Could be a couple of explanations though.
