The catering is now in house, so aye we do make money from it. Hasnt always been the case mind, think it’s only this season it has reverted back to club running it.
I didn’t know that, probably a good move long term if we can get it right.
The club will absolutely get a % of sales.
Right, my point is lets be the first to deal with the issue properly? Why wouldn't I want all Sunderland fans have the ability to go rather than be priced out ha. Just nonsense.

It was the case prior too wasn't it? Not last 3 years or so.
We are dealing with the issue, our tickets are very good value compared to most other clubs.

We still have to make money to keep the club running.

The role of an owner should never be that of a sugar daddy. That's what's fucked football completely. Abramovic and the Mansours have much to answer for.
The demand of sky and increased revenue from TV funding player salaries and a complete view that football fans are there to milked is why football is decaying. Not saying questionable owners aren't an issue either they obviously are. But pissing and moaning about 1.9m in today's game seems a bizarre step rather than helping poorer fans see more games.
They manage in Germany fine, seems we hate ourselves too much over here to do much about it.
Out of curiosity; If the club gets to the prem and obviously our dependancy on gates decrease massively. Do you think prices should remain, increase or decrease? Crowds for most clubs in the prem I'd argue are almost irrelevant to revenue.

Or most people think that the pricing at SAFC is very fair comparably and you’re one of a few moaning about it?

We get close to 40k in the Championship, I don’t think the club will be worried about it.

This is true. When I worked for the club back in 1998 we sold somewhere over 30K in season tickets and it was worth about £7 million pounds. What was a North stand ticket cost back then? £170?? I can't remember, but someone with a good memory could work out how much season tickets are worth today and even just rough guessing you realise that it isn't much in comparison to what you need for buying players.

Remember that those season ticket sales mean that match to match revenue in ticket sales is going to be considerably smaller.

7/8 million is a small percentage but it isn't inconsiderable.

Football isn't decaying. Attendances in England are at a 50 year high.

Match day revenue is not insignificant for the London clubs. Spurs and Arsenal could be looking at upwards to 100 million.

£9 x 9000 (say we get 40,000 a week) x 23 = 2.1m. It's an absolute drop in the ocean man. Thats without considering you may actually increase attendances and therefore sales and beer/confectionary purchases. In England we're absolutely adamant we have to shaft the fan. It's bizarre.
Where does the 9000 come from? If we reduce ticket prices we have to reduce season ticket prices as well

They didn’t start it and there should have been something to stop it regardless, there’s a lot more to it than that there needs to be reform but it’s too late

I will be there after missing the first game as I was on holiday. First season ticket since the 2001-2002 season in the East Stand at the back
Ditto.

Makes you think how many more we would have had V cov at home had the season not (utterly ridiculously) started in July.

I personally know 10 other SC holders who were abroad on their hols for it.
