GWS mate.Might end up missing this, tested positive at the weekend and feeling rough as hell. Hopefully I'll massively improve the next few days or I'll be paying for a stream despite having a season card.
Now (13:25 Tuesday) showing 33,029. They must have unblocked some seats. Can't see where though.33,104 at 0830

only nothing wrong with them if you can afford them, expensive day out for a family of 4
£9 x 9000 (say we get 40,000 a week) x 23 = 2.1m. It's an absolute drop in the ocean man. Thats without considering you may actually increase attendances and therefore sales and beer/confectionary purchases. In England we're absolutely adamant we have to shaft the fan. It's bizarre.
I think with the wealth within the club and ownership money, yes, £2.1m is a drop in the ocean. £2.1m is a fee that our club will spend a couple days arguing about and then move on.Everything's expensive these days. This also means that the clubs operating costs will also have shot up as well. Prices are fair.
Is this a serious post marra? Our total turnover for 2021 was £10.7m and you reckon £2.1 is a drop in the ocean?
It's literally 20% of our income!

I understand your point, in the lower leagues, attendances are the main focus of your income. It won't be the case now and it won't be in the future (hopefully).
I will say again, I think more people would be likely to come if we reduced prices and that would have added benefit for the club. I wouldn't be surprised to see numbers of match day goers drop over the coming months.

Because as you'll see tomorrow our reserves get a run out. Hardly the same. Our cup games are always dirt cheap and hardly anyone turns up for them!

Not comparable. Our cup games are always dirt cheap and hardly anyone turns up for them!
So you'd rather price fans out than make the game more accessible despite having a multi-billionaire owner in charge? In the PL maybe. At this level, that's a couple of decent players' wages, and about 8% of our likely turnover.
Compared to other clubs our ticket prices are already very fair.So you'd rather price fans out than make the game more accessible despite having a multi-billionaire owner in charge?
Again, no one has addressed the fact I think getting more through the gate would bring with it more, or at least the same, amount of money.
I mentioned before that in England we're absolutely desperate to shaft the fan, this sort of backs that up. We're one of the poorest parts of the country I imagine us to have cheaper tickets to be quite honest.Compared to other clubs our ticket prices are already very fair.
And we do, so what’s your point?I mentioned before that in England we're absolutely desperate to shaft the fan, this sort of backs that up. We're one of the poorest parts of the country I imagine us to have cheaper tickets to be quite honest.
The catering is now in house, so aye we do make money from it. Hasnt always been the case mind, think it’s only this season it has reverted back to club running it.And we do, so what’s your point?
Across the board it would be better if tickets cost less but moaning about Sunderland when comparably we are very fair is just daft.
Also, the club don’t make more money from the catering if we sell more. The company who has the contract do.
The club will absolutely get a % of sales. And we do, so what’s your point?

It was the case prior too wasn't it? Not last 3 years or so.The catering is now in house, so aye we do make money from it. Hasnt always been the case mind, think it’s only this season it has reverted back to club running it.
