Moeen Ali on the Fifty Over ODIs

It’s very hard to disagree if I’m being honest. Needs some radical change to stay interesting as they just feel like long T20’s now.

ODIs are the most entertaining format in my humble opinion, not sure how it can be considered the long boring version.

I feel 50 overs gives you a mix of what’s good about test matches and T20, not too short, not too long, and you usually see a result that is a fair reflection on the performances as a whole.

Worrying that this is the attitude given we’re world champions in this format.

not me saying it, it’s Moeen

Wasn’t complaining when he was collecting his World Cup winners medal was he? Prick.
No way should they last 4 hours mind. Clubs round here get them done in 2 and a half at most

Exactly. The time it takes for international cricket to get through the overs in all formats is a f*cking disgrace.

In fact, the IPL and 16.4 are even worse. Especially when the latter was marketed as being ‘short enough for FTA television’, which obviously was a massive lie all along.

The problem with T20 is it's so good damn entertaining as a spectacle. Might not be what true cricket is/was all about but true none the less.
