The Hundred 2022 Match Thread

.

this disappears. Would resolve the fixture problems overnight.
For me we should start the season with the RLODC, preferably in May but I can sort of understand if they have to cram it into April.

Then once that’s finished, start the CC and if you have to have a 4-5 week block for the Blast in July and August then so be it before finishing off the summer with more CC.

As people have said it’s baffling why they didn’t just throw this level of investment at the Blast. Instead they’ve gone down the route of a bastardised version of T20 which no other country in the word plays.

The lack of coverage, updates and news about the other domestic competitions from the ECB’s social media channels compared to 16.4 is disgraceful mind. It’s like they’re setting them up to fail.

You only have to look at the limited coverage the T20 got this year to see where TV and the ECB are heading.

There was many nights where sky didn't show any games which I can't remember happening before

50% more Blast games in the next Sky contract that’s just been signed, which is good news. They’re all on YouTube anyway too.

Not even close.

Many fans watch t20 are families see it loads at Durham games

Also you see people on the piss at the 100

It’s been pushed and no one really wants it. I won’t be travelling to Yorkshire to watch a team that has nowt to do with us.

It’s being pushed and prodded and isn’t doing great. Seen many games with empty seats more than you would at a t20
Couple of contradictions there mate, you kind of saying you don’t want it, but at the same time stating you have seen many games!

It did vey well last year that’s kind of accepted and there has only been one game this year.

So not sure where you get your logic from tbh.

Not really. There are plenty of pictures on news websites and social media that would confirm the empty seats. He doesn’t need to watch a single ball.

On top of that, every single time either the 16.4 or the BBC tweet/Facebook post about it the negative comments to positive ones ratio is about 8:1.
Tonight’s game?

Just looked on sky sports cricket and it's been highlights of old 100 games pretty much all day and the BBC has several channels / buttons dedicated to the commenwealth games.

Yet the one day cup is online only with little or no commentary?

He said he had seen many games!!

“Seen many games with empty seats”

Which could simply mean he’s seen still pictures or short clips. Therefore nothing I said was incorrect based on the information given.
Ok then I would rather enjoy the cricket of both competitions rather than get into which one is the best and which one has the most or best supporters.

As far as I am concerned which I sure you will disagree both are good entertainment played by roughly the same players,

It costs X to set up a decent camera system, comms team etc and they’d lose money on it though. The YouTube stuff is typically one camera and Sky wouldn’t go with that.
