Ali got poached from Warwickshire in the first place!
Because he wasn't getting played.

Leicestershire Worcestershire Derbyshire and Northamptonshire get all their best players pinched by Notts and Warks.

Lancashire Surrey and Yorkshire like to nick players too.

Funny that the big test counties have the money to do that. All but Durham cos we got made to punch above our weight when we couldn't afford too.

Then completely fucked over in the process, while still producing for England more than some of these counties I mention.

Notts poaching I see. That's new
And Yorkshire don’t?
Signs for Notts. Bit of a shit way to repay patience and faith by Warwickshire, especially with his injuries
Not really tbf
Warks have to grab new blood as struggling in Champ. Already signed Barnard and Mo and will want more. Likely to be peddling another couple out before the season ends.
I guess from earlier posts in this thread that Rehan Ali is an absolute cert to be leaving Leics for one.

Aye course they do! Doesn't mean that's right either

Nothing to do with poaching. Contracts tend to expire 30th September. Most players have their own agents and they will have been beavering away to get the best deal for their clients since 1st June when the “window” opened. Surely if, after negotiation, their current club doesn’t make an offer that satisfies them they’re entitled to move on to another club that is prepared to show how much they want them, whether fans like it or not.
I imagine that Mr Potts will be in a rather good negotiating position just now. Wealthy counties will be sniffing all around his agent!

Got to hope Pottsy gets a central contract and fingers crossed can retain it for a few years then those county contracts are not so important.

Surprised no-one corrected this.

Jordan, Sibley, Topley, Overton, Stoneman, Borthwick etc
Burns, Sibley, Patel, Pope, Jacks, Smith, Curran, Curran, Virdi, Atkinson. All in our side, all from our academy.

The fact you've had to go back to 2017 for two of the players you name says a lot, really.
